Electronics Technician (KET2)

This program provides a solid foundation for students desiring to enter the electronics communications technician field. The program includes the core electronics curriculum and covers the basic theory, laws, and circuits, ad fundamentals of AC/DC, solid-state and digital electronics. The student will then learn communications theory including Radio Frequency, digital wireless, fiber optics, microwave, and antennas, as well as learn how to use various test equipment.

Electronics Technician


COURSE/PROGRAM DELIVERY MODEL

This program is offered in a Competency Based Education (CBE) format. It is divided into several payment periods consisting of 10-weeks each, except for the final one which is variable in length. This allows students to accelerate and complete as many courses as they can within each of those time periods while the tuition and fees remain fixed. Students will be expected to invest a minimum of 16 to 24 hours per week on coursework and will enroll in each course according to the established sequence in the catalog.

Students receiving Federal Financial Aid or VA funding please contact your academic advisor for specific information regarding eligibility.

Advising Notes

Stand-alone or specific needs - All courses need to have their prerequisites confirmed by the Electronics Department. Students must e-mail transcripts, etc., to department before registration/scheduling is approved.


Additional Program Notes

Students can submit requests for prior education and/or work experience for program substitutions and/or waivers. All requests must have official support documentation, transcripts, industry certifications and or work records required. Student should make this request if possible before start of program.
