New and current SLCC students whether they are incoming, returning, seeking a traditional undergraduate degree, or completing a program through Salt Lake Technical College.
- Institutional (SLCC) Scholarships and Tuition Waivers
- Some State/USHE scholarships
- Private and Community Organization scholarships
- Departmental and Major specific scholarships and tuition waivers
- Countless opportunities!
This system will match you to SLCC provided scholarships, tuition waivers, and scholarship opportunities offered by third-party organizations. While the platform will immediately start asking question for first time users, we recommend searching for “The SLCC General Scholarship Application” which allows students to be considered for multiple award opportunities at SLCC with a single application. By completing the general application first, students will find they have fewer matching questions to complete. Don’t rush in answering the additional matching questions, answers are saved as you go through the questions. It is encouraged to eventually answer the first 30 questions to be considered for any award opportunity available through SLCC. While answers are saved, they can be edited later as you experience personal growth during your time at SLCC.
For the SLCC General Scholarship Application you will only need to apply once to be considered for awards in Summer 2025, Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
Applications will be reviewed continuously through the year—however, there are priority deadlines for each semester:
- Fall 2025: April 1, 2025
- Summer 2025: April 15, 2025
- Spring 2026: October 1, 2025
It is recommended that you apply by the priority deadline, as scholarship/tuition waiver funds are limited.
This application is used to award the majority of SLCC scholarship and tuition waiver opportunities. There may be other opportunities that require a separate application, so apply for whatever you may be eligible.
Scholarships and tuition waivers typically only cover tuition and fees. While you can receive federal financial aid in conjunction with these awards, it is unlikely that you will be able to receive multiple scholarships/tuition waivers in a semester.
Students will receive updates to their SLCC/Bruinmail accounts. Students may also opt into text message updates through Scholarship Universe.
Students may also reach out to the scholarship team at scholarships@slcc.edu for updates.
Tips for submitting an excellent scholarship application.
Advisable for both current SLCC students, Potential SLCC students, and non-SLCC students.
- Follow directions and pay close attention to deadlines.
- Personalize your responses to questions by giving specific examples. Paint a picture for the scholarship reviewers through your examples.
- Avoid tangents and tailor your answers to each specific scholarship opportunity. Beware of copying and pasting the same essay for multiple opportunities.
- Have someone else proofread your essays if possible. It can also help to write your essays on a word processor before transferring them to the online application so you can use spellcheck and have your work saved somewhere in case of technical issues.
- Ask for Help! The SLCC Student Writing & Reading Center helps you to succeed as a student by helping you to improve as a writer and a reader.
