#TRIOGrows
#TRIOGrows is an initiative funded through an SLCC Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Grant.
In partnership with Wasatch Community Gardens, TRIO staff and participants, along with their friends and families, are volunteering their time to help reduce hunger in Utah.
SLCC TRIO programs (SSS, STEM & ETS) in partnership with Wasatch Community Gardens, the SLCC Thayne Center for Service & Learning, TRIO Peer Leaders, SLCC students, community participants, along with their friends and families, volunteer their time to help reduce hunger at SLCC and in Utah. TRIO plans activities in the Taylorsville Redwood Campus Garden that includes the SLCC community to come out and help anywhere from cleaning the garden, to greenhouse and plot planting, watering and harvesting. After harvesting, TRIO donates what's grown in the garden to SLCC's Bruin Pantry and is also put out for students on our garden cart in TRIO's main office suite at the Redwood Campus iin CT 226, available for students to take and enjoy, staying true to TRIO's "grow & give" initiative.
