Food is vital for any community people couldn’t survive whiteout it. Other than the obvious reasons, many people and communities earn money from selling it. Food keeps people alive because when you eat food digesting enzymes brake down fat and proteins which feed into cells and transport energy to other cells stay alive, sorry I am a bit of a nerd but this process keeps our communities alive.
