The 2026-27 FAFSA is now available at StudentAid.gov

Key Changes to Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans due to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act:

Beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year students enrolled less than full-time and borrowing federal direct loans will have their loan amount reduced based on enrollment. Decreases in enrollment at any point during the academic year can have an impact on a student's future disbursement amount. This means you may only borrow a portion of the full-time loan amount that matches your enrolled hours. You must still be enrolled at least half time to receive federal loans. Before dropping a course or changing your enrollment status, we encourage you to contact the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office.

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships (OFAS) is here to assist you through the financial aid process. Whether you need help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or have questions about different options to pay for school, OFAS is here to help.

Please make sure to complete the correct FAFSA for the semester(s) you plan to attend. The 2026–2027 FAFSA will not be used until Fall 2026. For Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 semesters, you need to fill out the 2025–2026 FAFSA application.
