ABOUT THE PRE-APPRENTICE PROGRAM

This cost-efficient program provides students with the core knowledge and fundamental skills necessary for entry-level positions in the electric power industry. Students learn these skills in the classroom and at our outdoor pole yard and are exposed to a wider spectrum of electric power technology topics and the accompanying career options they present so the student will be prepared for multiple career paths.

Traditionally, craft or technician positions of this nature require employees to complete an apprentice program. Apprenticeship programs meet the training needs of employees currently working in the industry.
