Follow these steps to successfully enroll in any SLTECH course or program. We recommend keeping this page open for easy reference throughout the process.

Enrollment Steps
Explore Salt Lake Tech Program Areas
Once you’ve decided on a program of study proceed to Step 1
Step 1: Apply for Admission
Complete your admissions application. Once you receive your student number (S#), proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Meet with Your Academic Advisor
Schedule an appointment (in-person, phone, or video call) with an Academic Advisor to verify your program of study & find out about placement testing requirements. Contact the Academic Advising Office:

Step 3: Placement Testing(If required)
For Certificate Programs: Schedule your CASAS Test
For Degree Programs (AS, AAS, Apprenticeship):
Schedule the SLCC Math and Reading Placement
Once your placement test is completed. Contact your advisor to plan your course schedule and to register.

Additional Steps
Step 4 (Optional): Apply for Financial Aid
Complete your FAFSA application to determine your eligibility for financial aid.
Step 5 (Optional): Explore Grants and Scholarships
Learn about available grants and scholarships through State Sponsored Grants and Scholarships at SLCC.C
