Program Overview

Aerospace Assembly cover the skills necessary to fabricate and assemble composite and metal parts for aerospace applications. Students can choose from certificates in aerospace assembly with metals or composites, or a certificate covering the basic manufacturing strategies for hand-layup of composite aerospace structures. Students who complete one certificate may find work as an assembly, composites, or lay-up technician.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Chemical and lab safety using PPE
  • Selection and use of hand tools
  • Drilling, reaming, countersinking, and assembling composite panels using Hi-Lok fasteners
  • Interpreting technical documents
