Beginning 2024-25 the SLCC Concurrent Enrollment Department no longer requires annual professional development. However, academic departments may, at any time, host required trainings beyond the new instructor training to address updates to the curriculum, changes in departmental policies, and other topics that are required for faculty to effectively teach the SLCC courses they are approved to teach.
The SLCC CE Office no longer tracks trainings like these, however if an academic department designates a training as "mandatory" and the instructor fails to attend the training or reach out if he or she has a conflict with the date of the training, then we will initiate the non-compliance process with the instructor. For the non-compliance process to begin the academic deparment should reach out to the CE Director.
