Business Leaders Forum
The Business Leaders Forum (BLF) is a weekly lecture series held Tuesdays from 1-2 p.m. in the Gail Miller Business Building, Room 123 on Salt Lake Community College's Taylorsville Redwood Campus and sponsored by SLCC's Gail Miller Business School.
BLF is designed to give students a taste of potential professions and career paths while learning from executives in the field. It features business leaders from a broad spectrum of industries including legal, accounting, culinary, tech, finance, HR, marketing and entrepreneurship. BLF is a for-credit class reaching online and face-to-face students of all majors. Speakers typically give about a 40-minute presentation followed by Q and A. It is held in an auditorium-style classroom on campus on Wednesdays from 1-1:50 during the academic year. Speakers generally present an overview of what students can expect from a career in the professional's field, real-world experiences, and advice for beginning their careers. Former speakers have included:
- Chief communications officer Larry H Miller Group (Spring 2021)
- Director of Brand Experience Domo (Spring 2021)
- Executive Director for Community Ken Garff (Spring 2021)
