Important Info for Guests
Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive 30-60 minutes prior to the start of the event to avoid traffic delays (doors open at 8:30 a.m.). Guests are also strongly encouraged to carpool or use public transportation. A UTA TRAX station is now open near the Maverik Center.
Please Note: No balloons allowed inside the Maverik Center at SLCC Commencement Ceremony.

- Please review our Directions and Parking guidelines prior to arriving for commencement.

Headsets can be picked up on the third level of the Maverick Center. An item must be left as collateral and will be returned when the headset is returned. Maximum number of headset available per collateral is four. You can leave a driver’s license or state ID as collateral.
Accessibility
- ASL interpreters and open-captioning services will be provided during the ceremony. Other accommodations will be made upon request. For more information or to request accommodations, contact Julie Smith in the Disability Resource Center at 801-957-4854 (voice) or 801-057-4646 (TTY).
- The Maverik Center is wheelchair accessible from the south parking lot through the VIP main entrance. The drop-off area is in front of the building near the main entrance.
- The Maverik Center recognizes the needs of guests with disabilities, as defined by the American Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. Maverik Center continues to make every effort to comply with state and federal accessibility regulations and accommodate guests with disabilities.
- Due to safety regulations, all aisles in the arena must be kept clear of children, strollers, wheelchairs and all other obstacles during the ceremony.
