Annual Giving
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
your Support Makes a Difference
At Salt Lake Community College, we help transform the lives of the most underserved individuals in our community at a fraction of the cost of other universities.
Annual Giving through recurring, sustainable contributions is a significant part of the foundation on which our success is based. Your support allows SLCC to provide opportunities for students to pursue their dream of higher education and lead fulfilling lives through meaningful employment as contributing members of our community.
Donor Impact = Student Success
Donor impact and student success go hand in hand. Annual Giving helps students overcome the single greatest obstacle they perceive in pursuing an education at SLCC: the cost.
The SLCC Annual Giving Campaign has an impact in the following ways:
- Your support changes lives by covering educational costs—such as student scholarships, cultural and academic programs—where tuition and other funding sources fall short.
- Support for Annual Giving through Employee Giving is a fundamental indicator of organizational vitality. As a part of our campus community engagement, the value of voluntary action benefits the common good.
Why Does Annual Giving Matter?
Salt Lake Community College’s Annual Giving Campaign is one component of a comprehensive fundraising effort under way through the SLCC Development Office that also includes corporate and foundation giving; scholarship and major gifts; cultivation, stewardship and campus events; and alumni relations.
Employee participation in the Campaign fosters a culture of community engagement by involving faculty and staff with a leading role in Annual Giving through Employee Giving. Through Employee Giving, our faculty and staff support has become a vital component of the college’s Annual Giving fundraising efforts.
Salt Lake Community College faculty and staff have long made a meaningful difference in students’ lives through their dedication in the classroom as well as in their many supporting and administrative roles. SLCC’s Annual Giving Campaign further reflects the commitment of our faculty and staff to our students’ success.
Currently, 31% of SLCC students are people of color and 54% are first in their families to attend college. In addition, 81% of students work while they attend school. With a scholarship, they can work less and focus on their studies. SLCC students who receive scholarship support are twice as likely to graduate.
Imagine what we can do together to help every one of our students succeed.
Thank you for contributing to make this college such a vibrant, caring place for our students to attain their dream of a higher education.

Matching Gift Information
Double (or even triple) the impact of your generosity by giving through a corporate matching gift program.
Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs.
Here's an example. Let's say you work for Adobe and donate $100 to Salt Lake Community College. Adobe matches donations at a 1:1 ratio to eligible nonprofit organizations. After you submit your matching gift form, Adobe will double your donation to Salt Lake Community College by also writing a check for $100.
Use our online donation form to find out if your gift qualifies for an employer match.
