Invisible No More: Latinx Dignity March Exhibit
Exhibit Dates: April 1 - May 3, 2024
#UNDOCUMONTH is a comprehensive month-long initiative and series of events dedicated to spotlighting the lived experiences, challenges, and successes of undocumented immigrants including immigrants seeking asylum in Utah. These events aim to shed light on the resilience of undocumented individuals and the complexities they face while navigating their everyday lives. Each event is designed to explore a unique theme, providing a platform for cultivating understanding and addressing the realities of being undocumented.
These events are open to ALL students, staff, and faculty including the public. All events are free and we plan to offer food and refreshments for all of them + will be offering goodies in limited quantities. Visit https://www.slcc.edu/dreamcenter for the full list of events.
Invisible No More: Latinx Dignity March Exhibit is a photo documentary exhibit in collaboration with the University of Utah Dream Center and Transform, and the Eccles Art Gallery. This exhibit commemorates Utah’s history as a refuge state and how the Latino community has been a part of that history. The show will be featured on two SLCC locations simultaneously: the West Valley Center and the South City Campus, the George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Art Gallery with a different collection of photos in each location, so be sure to visit both.
