Cash Receipting Policy

IV.C.5: There are 5 Cashiering locations that are non-compliant because they only have one cashier. So, I would suggest adding "except for locations that have one cashier". This way all the locations would be compliant. IV.C.15: Should we also be doing background checks every 5 years to make sure they don't have a criminal record? IV.D.1: Could a credit card receipt comply with this part of the policy? IV.D.4.a: This not the current procedure at Taylorsville campus IV.E.1: Not current procedure at South, Miller, and Jordan campuses. I feel they should add wording that states "except for locations where there is one person to perform this function" IV.F.2: This not the current procedure at South, Miller, Jordan West Valley and Westpointe campuses. They only have one cashier. IV.G.4: I thought that we don't accept foreign checks, that is what is stated above in G 2. Are you referring to Canadian checks? IV. H: Parking does not always deposit money at the Cashier's Office. They bring a deposit bag for cashier to give to Cashman (the armor carrier SLCC uses) IV.K.1: This cannot be done at South, Miller, Jordan West Valley and Westpointe campuses. They only have one cashier. Maybe adding additional wording like: "except for locations that have only one cashier" |
Responses
During the comment period, two commenters provided feedback relative to:
- cashiering locations with only one cashier
- background checks on cashiers every five years
- alignment or feasibility of procedure in the policy
- changes to wording from should to must
The policy originator and stakeholders considered all comments and incorporated them, where practical, into the new draft.
