The department of STEM Learning runs regular workshop series for SLCC’s Tutor Education Program (STEP). These workshops are intended for employed tutors already at the College. There are 3 levels of STEP training:
STEP Level 1 teaches the basics of tutoring and communication to new tutors.
STEP Level 2 is intended for tutors that are interested in advancing their practice beyond the basics.
STEP Level 3 is intended for tutors that are interested in developing leadership and coaching skills.
Levels should be completed sequentially. All levels of STEP are open to tutors from any area of SLCC.
