Established by the members and management of Metallica in 2019 as a means to invest in the people and places that have supported the band, All Within My Hands is focused on supporting sustainable communities through workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other critical local services. In 2022, Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) became part of the Metallica Scholars Initiative through its Surgical Technology program.

The Metallica Scholars Initiative is for surgical technology students currently enrolled within the program. Funding is currently available though Summer 2025.
