Petition for the Acceptance of Credit
Credit that is not originally accepted by the Transfer Evaluation Office at the time of submission/admission can be petitioned as follows:
- Send an e-mail to TransferEvaluation@slcc.edu listing the courses you would like to petition for credit. In the subject line list “Petition for Credit”
- Submit a syllabus for each course you are petitioning for credit.
- The syllabus must be from the term listed on the official transcript.
If the transfer institution is not a defined regionally accredited institution, the credit may only be accepted at the discretion of the applicable academic department.
Please note, the credit must be applicable to the student’s program of study. The coursework must be considered equivalent to a current course in the SLCC catalog. General elective credit is not granted for coursework from non-regionally accredited institutions.
