Día de los Muertos | Day of the Dead

Day of the Dead: Dia de los Muertos Free, Open to the Community, Family-Friendly

We will be observing Día de los Muertos | Day of the Dead on October 31st, and November 1st.

Day of the Dead is a longstanding tradition rooted in Meso-American cultures spanning thousands of years. This event will explore ancestral and contemporary aspects of this surviving tradition, where we can reflect on the teachings and connections that persist today. The themes reflect death, spirits, and reverence for our ancestors. We hope to create a space to remember, cherish, and honor this sacred tradition.

These events are brought to you by the Thayne Center, Arts & Cultural Events, Community Relations, the West Valley Center, the Center for Community Knowledge with support from Native Indigenous Student Union (NISU), Latinxs United for Change & Activism (LUChA), and the Dream Center.
