Crossroads AHEC recruits young people from rural and urban underserved areas to health professions and to prepare them for success applying to and completing health professions training programs.

Career Exploration Activities

  • Providing career exploration activities designed to provide students with in-depth understanding of necessary skills and duties common to a variety of specific health professions. Specific activities include:
    • Tours of academic institutions and health professions’ training programs
    • Career Fairs designed to allow career exploration across all health professions programs
    • Internships designed to give students a more in-depth look at various health professions
    • Mentor programs
  • Conducting career exploration activities to provide students with in-depth understanding of educational requirements and academic options for careers in healthcare.
