Associate's Degree: Suggested Course Schedule
The following is a recommended sequencing of courses for completing a two-year transfer degree in music.
While students are not required to follow this exact sequence, some classes must be taken in sequence because of prerequisite (or co-requisite) requirements. For example, Theory I should be taken concurrently with Sight Singing/Ear Training I and before taking Theory II and Sight Singing/Ear Training II.
While not specified as a requirement to earn their associates degree, music students are strongly encouraged to take private lessons each of the four semesters if at all possible in addition to the schedule listed below. Most four-year degree programs will include a private instruction requirement.
