SLCC Chamber Singers

Chamber Singers is the premier choral ensemble at Salt Lake Community College. Comprised of approximately forty auditioned students, members of the ensemble share a love of fine singing and are drawn from across college disciplines from automotive trades to music. In addition to their local concert series, Chamber Singers is often invited to perform in some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals both nationally and abroad. Because of their creative and compelling performance style, SLCC Choirs are met with critical acclaim and ever-increasing popularity.

College Chorale

College Chorale, an eighty to one hundred voice ensemble, is dedicated to the distinctive and varied repertoire for large choir. The Chorale collaborates regularly with local orchestras and performs regularly for college and local community.

Salt City Voices

Salt City Voices is a fifteen-member vocal and insturmental ensemble devoted to performing contemporary music of exceptional quality. Winners of the prestigious Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and also named the “Best of Utah”, Salt City Voices helps students develop their abilities in the jazz, pop, and rock idiom.

Please note: Membership for each of these ensembles is by audition.

Instrumental Ensembles

Students are welcome and encouraged to participate in a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Students may participate in the Bruin Chamber Orchestra, the SLCC Taylorsville Symphony Orchestra, The Murray Concert Band and our Jazz/Commercial Music Ensembles. The Commercial Music Ensembles are groups that perform in groups that focus on jazz, rock, country and other popular idioms. All of the above groups are excellent ensembles, taught by the finest directors and teachers.
