Technical Education Credit Programs

Follow these steps to enroll in SLTC programs:

Once you’ve decided on a program of study proceed to Step 1
Step 1: Apply for Admission
Complete your admissions application. Once you receive your student number (S#), proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Meet with Your Academic Advisor
Schedule an appointment (in-person, phone, or video call) with an Academic Advisor to verify your program of study & find out about placement testing requirements. Contact the Academic Advising Office:

Step 3: Placement Testing(If required)
For Certificate Programs: Schedule your CASAS Test
For Degree Programs (AS, AAS, Apprenticeship):
Schedule the SLCC Math and Reading Placement
Once your placement test is completed. Contact your advisor to plan your course schedule and to register.

Additional Steps
Step 4 (Optional): Apply for Financial Aid
Complete your FAFSA application to determine your eligibility for financial aid.
Step 5 (Optional): Explore Grants and Scholarships

Workforce Training Not-For-Credit Programs

Follow these steps to enroll in skilled short-term training programs:

  1. Select Program of Interest
    • Click on your area of interest. Or you can click on the All Programs box and this will connect you to the A-Z index.
  2. View Program Page
    • Once you click on the program you are interested in you will be directed to the program page.
    • On this page you can find out the following: Program information, Occupations, Wages, Certification Information, Pricing, Funding Available.
  3. Register Now
    • Once you read through the information you can click on ‘Register Now’ button. Note: You will be taken to the Enrole Registration System.
    • You will be taken directly to the session, course, and class you are interested in registering in.
  4. Create Student Profile
    • If you are new to the system, click on “Create Profile” to enter your information and register for upcoming sessions, courses, and classes. Enter ALL information requested, including reviewing, and accepting the Financial Responsibility Statement.

ESL Programs

      1. Complete the SLCC application online, slcc.edu/apply
        Pay the application fee of $20 ($75 for International Student). Valid for 3 years, non-refundable.
        • Allow 1-2 business days for the application to be processed.
        • For assistance with the application contact the Office of Admissions at 801-957-4485.
        • Get your student number and MySLCC username by visiting any campus or online at
          https://sasbot.slcc.edu/webforms/fetchsid/
      2. Create your MySLCC Password and sign in. Average test time is 40-60 mins.
        • You will need access to your MySLCC account before taking the ESL test in Step 3.
        • To log in to your MySLCC account, please visit https://my.slcc.edu/

      3. Take the ESL test (ESL Self Placement Test) Average test time is 40-60 mins.
      4. Schedule an appointment with an ESL academic advisor to review your test scores and cost estimate:

      1. Pay tuition in full or set-up a payment plan: Tuition costs provided are subject to change. Cost of books and supplies is not included in estimate below
        ESL classes (Beginning I-Advanced II)
        • Resident/Non-resident student cost per class is:
          • Reading/Writing: $294-490
          • Listening/Speaking: $196-490
          • Grammar or Vocabulary or Pronunciation: $98-294 each
        • International Student cost: $784 + (International Student Services Fees)
      2. Purchase Parking Permit: Purchase one semester or year parking permit in your MySLCC account.
    *Exception: No parking permit needed if attending classes ONLY at the West Valley Center
