Welcome to the Study Away Ambassador program through the Engaged Learning Office (ELO) Scholarship! This program is designed to connect students with the unique opportunities and benefits of studying away, with a strong focus on promoting diversity and inclusion. Your role as an ambassador is crucial in fostering a supportive and informative environment for prospective students, helping them to explore new horizons and enrich their academic experiences.

A certificate of recognition upon attending the Study Away Showcase during your term as an ambassador.

Becoming a Study Away Ambassador

Students who apply to any SLCC Study Away Program are given the opportunity to apply for the SLCC Diversity Scholarship. If awarded the scholarship, students are then enrolled into the Study Away Ambassador Program. The role of an ambassador in this program is limited to a one-year commitment.

Ambassador of Study Away Commitment

Ambassadors are expected to embody what it means to be an SLCC student! Here is what we expect from our Ambassadors:

Promotion of Study Away programs to the student body through various channels.
Attendance and active participation in the Study Away Showcase organized by the Engaged Learning Office.
Commit to at least 2 Study Away events.
Upholding the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all ambassador activities and communications.

Note: Students will be provided with an agreement form upon enrollment that will outline all responsibilities and expectations in detail.
