Your Journey Continues

The University Transfer Center team provides resources, guidance, and support for students throughout every step of the transfer process. Our purpose is to help SLCC students comfortably transfer to a 4-year college/university of their choice.

The University Transfer Center is located at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, on the first floor of the Student Center Building (STC) and is open Monday - Thursday 10am - 3pm.

It is important to remember that most 4-year colleges & universities have much earlier deadlines than SLCC. Start researching your transfer options at least 2 semesters before you want to transfer. The University Transfer Center team is happy to meet with you—please visit us at the University Transfer Center, call us at 801-957-3909, or make an appointment with the Transfer Student Success Team.

Steps for Students Transferring from SLCC

  • Create a list of 4-year schools you would like to transfer to and majors you are interested in.
  • Visit each school's >transfer admissions website</a and research their transfer admissions steps.
  • Work with your SLCC Academic Advisor AND meet with an Academic Advisor at your transfer school(s) as a prospective student. You can also meet with a transfer advisor to help explore transfer school options and finding on-campus resources at your transfer schools of interest.
  • Submit your transfer admissions application by the admissions deadline (and program date if applicable) along with your official SLCC transcripts to the school(s) you wish to transfer.
    • Ensure that your official transcripts are sent directly to your transfer school(s)—do not send official transcripts to your personal email.
  • Once admitted to your transfer school, register for transfer student orientation, and schedule an appointment with your new program academic advisor and the financial aid/scholarship office.
