Architecture Licensing Utah

In the state of Utah, an architectural license is not required for certain types of projects. Individuals can design single-family homes, duplexes, and certain small-scale commercial buildings without a license. However, larger or more complex projects, particularly those that impact public safety, require a licensed architect.

The title Architect is also reserved for those who are licensed as well, meaning it is illegal to call yourself an Architect without a license. While an unlicensed designer can work well in the field, it is up to the individual to decide which route they would like to follow.
