First-Generation Student Resources
SEEA defines first-generation students as individuals who are the first in their immediate family to pursue a college education. SEEA understands that this experience is unique and has resources to support first-generation students succeed at SLCC. As part of a national organization in FirstGen Forward, SEEA provides the following resources for SLCC's first-generation student experiences:
- Completing and searching for financial aid and scholarships
- Provide academic support and guidance
- Engage students with mentoring opportunities and peer support
- Explore careers and majors
- Experience student leadership opportunities
- Acknowledge and celebrate first-generation students through events and activities

Emerging Learners
Emerging learners are students who have been identified by SEEA as needing academic support based being placed on academic warning and academic probation. SEEA provides students who are navigating this process with the following resources:

- Personal Support
- Programs to get back on Track

If you are needing such support and we have not reached out, feel free to come "SEEA" us. You can walk and meet with a Student Success Advisor or Student Success Coordinator at these following campuses:
- Taylorsville Campus in STC 101
- West Valley Campus in 125 A

Early Academic Intervention Outreach
SEEA is part of the SLCC's Care Network where we intervene with students early in the semester to provide personalized support to keep you on track.
