Basic Needs
The purpose of this program is to support students that may not have equitable access to basic needs such as food and housing insecure, loss or lack of employment, and FAFSA ineligible. Basic Needs insecurity can affect class attendance, grades, social interactions, the ability to continue with or finish a degree, as well as other health and wellness impacts. This program provides consultation for

Resource referrals during hardship prevents crisis, with an emphasis on students facing economic hardships such as housing and technology. Through scheduled and referral appointments, the Coordinator for Basic Needs meets with students understanding the barriers they are facing in education. As a result of these meetings, the Coordinator for Basic Needs refers campus and community-based resources. This includes coaching and navigational guidance with identified resources.
Schedule Appointment with Coordinator for Basic NeedFor currently enrolled students facing technological insecurity, the Coordinator for Basic Needs provides both campus and community-based referrals. Students who meet criteria are eligible to receive a donated laptop, as available. To participate in this program, you will need to schedule an appointment with the Coordinator for Basic Needs where eligibility will be determined and be placed on a waitlist.
