Welcome to the Campus Safety Roundtable
At Salt Lake Community College (SLCC), we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff. To further enhance our commitment to maintaining a safe environment, we have established the Campus Safety Roundtable—a collaborative initiative aimed at fostering dialogue, sharing best practices, and implementing effective strategies to ensure a secure campus for all. This group is co-led by the SLCCSA President and the Dean of Students.
Goals of the Campus Safety Roundtable:
- Promoting Awareness: Enhance awareness of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and resources available to the campus community.
- Facilitating Communication: Foster open communication channels between stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and local law enforcement agencies.
- Identifying Risks: Identify potential safety hazards and risks on campus through comprehensive assessments and proactive measures.
- Implementing Solutions: Develop and implement practical solutions and initiatives to address safety concerns and enhance security measures.
- Education: Provide educational resources to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to safety incidents.
