How do I become a Site Advisor?

The role of Site Leader for SLCCServes Day of Service is to be the lead person/point of contact at their assigned service site. This person will help with logistics and help create a positive & impactful experience for participants. You will also be responsible for helping your group engage in a meaningful reflection to gain more insight on the service project and the experience. This is a great opportunity to engage with SLCC students and learn more about the community partners doing incredible work in the Salt Lake area!

Site advisor positions are open to staff and faculty only.

"I had the opportunity to be a site leader for the SLCC Day of Service, it was very fulfilling and wonderful to see all the volunteers participate with the SLCC Day of Service. I was assigned to be the site leader at the Catholic Community Services where we assisted in the kitchen with prepping the meals that they provide to those who are in need. As a site leader, I got to work with some amazing students and staff. I got to witness first hand the positive impact that community engagement can have on the participant as well as those we serve. It has reinforced my belief in the power of community and the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need. This experience has strengthened my commitment to service and has reminded me of the profound impact that kindness and compassion can have on others. I enjoy serving and volunteering and look forward to continuing to serve in any way I can. I’m grateful for SLCC Day of Service and would highly recommend participating as a site leader."
- Samantha Faupula, Fall 2024 Day of of Service Site Leader.
