Hi everyone! My name is Bianca, I’m 20 years old, and currently studying Exercise Science/Kinesiology. I love that my major combines the best of both worlds, healthcare and sports. Soccer has been a big part of my life since childhood, which fuels my passion for this field. This is my 5th semester at SLCC and my second year as a Peer Mentor. I love that i get to help fellow students navigate college and make their journey as smooth as possible. I plan to graduate in Spring 2026 before transferring to Weber State to earn my Master’s in Athletic Training.

I'm a native Utahn who bounced around the country before finally coming back home to the mountains. I'm a biology major, focusing on microbiology, ecology, and environmental science -- and the intersections between them. My current research deals with the effects of the shrinking Great Salt Lake on Utah's air quality. I'd love to find a career in bio/ecological research, but I want most of all to make a positive impact, wherever I'm needed.

This is my final semester at Salt Lake Community College working on a degree in ASL/English interpreting. My goal is to become an interpreter that delivers high quality of service that the Deaf community values and deserves. After I graduate I plan to transfer to Utah State University and work toward my bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies.

My academic journey has taken me through Music Therapy and Geology, but my heart found its home in childcare—where I’ve spent the past ten plus years supporting families as a Professional Nanny, Childcare Provider, and Newborn Care Specialist. Working with newborns and guiding first-time parents has been a profound joy, combining empathy, education, and trust. That same spirit of care and creativity has led me into the world of graphic arts, where I’ve discovered a new way to connect and communicate—through design. Whether it’s crafting PowerPoint presentations, building websites, or designing ads, I love helping clients bring their ideas to life. As graduation inches closer, I’m excited to pursue opportunities in graphic design—either with a company or as a freelancer—where I can continue blending storytelling, strategy, and visual impact in meaningful ways.

Hi! I’m Ruth and I’m originally from Tijuana, Mexico, but I’ve lived in Utah for most of my life. I recently graduated in May 2025 with a degree in Pre-Medical Health Sciences, and I’m currently pursuing a second passion Culinary Arts. My ultimate goal is to become a plastic surgeon, but I’ve always had a deep love for baking, so I’ve decided to chase both dreams. I also work as a supervisor at a chiropractic clinic that specializes in treating patients involved in car accidents. I’m passionate about helping others and excited to support students as a peer mentor!
