Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA)
Updated September 2024
To register for classes at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC), you must agree to the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement annually. Below are the key points from the agreement:
- Financial Responsibility: You are responsible for paying all tuition, fees, and associated costs upon registering or receiving services from SLCC. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for important drop, withdrawal, and payment deadlines.
- Tuition Refund: Review the Tuition Refund Schedule to understand your financial responsibility if you drop or withdraw from classes. Non-attendance or not receiving a bill does not release you from this obligation.
- Delinquent Accounts/Collections: If your account becomes delinquent, registration holds may be placed on your account, and fees, interest, collection agency involvement, credit bureau reporting, or state income tax garnishment may occur.
- Communication: SLCC will contact you through various means, including email, phone, or text. You are responsible for keeping your contact information up to date in SLCC systems.
- Billing Methods and Errors: SLCC primarily uses electronic on-demand statements available in SLCCPay+. Any billing errors will be corrected, but they do not relieve you of your obligation to pay the correct balance by the due date.
- Electronic 1098-T Opt-in: You consent to receive your annual IRS Form 1098-T electronically from SLCC. You will be notified via your Bruinmail account when the form is available and can access it via your SLCCPay+ account.
