EPortfolio (Required for Honors Students)
An ePortfolio is a website that showcases student’s best work and functions as an online space for student reflection and deeper learning. It is also a space for students to introduce themselves, set goals, and demonstrate their experiences outside of the classroom i.e. volunteer work, employment, internships, and hobbies. Using an ePortfolio helps students become a more engaged learner because students use their ePortfolio to make connections and reflect on their educational journey.
Honors students are required to have an ePortfolio to document their progress toward completing the honors requirements. Honors students will have a separate honors tab/page on their main student ePortfolio for documenting and reflecting on their honors course work, enrichment experiences, and HIPs.
To get started on your Honors ePortfolio, please click on this link: Honors ePortfolio Template and click on ‘Honors Program’ (you will need to use your own personal Google Gmail account or create one). You will only need one ePortfolio for your General Education classes and your Honors Program requirements. If you previously used Digication or Sharepoint for your ePortfolio, you can copy and paste your materials to the new Google Sites ePortfolio Template.

If you need additional assistance, the SLCC ePortfolio Office is a great resource to help you get started on creating your ePortfolio. There are online tutorials on their website and the ePortfolio team can assist you in-person at their ePortfolio labs. For more information on getting started.
Honors students are encouraged to submit their ePortfolio to the SLCC ePortfolio office. EPortfolios will be reviewed and students can receive a tuition waiver. Recipients of the tuition waiver will also present their ePortfolio at the annual Engaged Learning Celebration. Learn more information and apply here.
